The RH-100-F60-BN is a much affordable version of the Ready Hot RH-200-F560-BN we’ve reviewed above. They share similar features except for the heating power which is what brings the difference in the price.

The unit comes in two versions just like the RH-200-F560-BN. You have the RH-100-F60-BN which features a dual lever faucet to dispense both hot and cold, and the RH-100-F570-BN which is a hot water-only dispenser.

Performance

While the RH-200-F560-BN utilizes a 1300-watt heating element, the RH-100-F60-BN has a 780-watt heating element. This is a slight downgrade but it’s still more than sufficient heating power to deliver near-boiling water in a matter of seconds.

The tank has 2.5 quarts capacity and a hot water output rate of about 40 cups or more per hour which should be able to meet the needs of small to medium families.

The unit can reach maximum temperatures of 190oF and it has a thermostat dial that lets you adjust the temperature from 140oF to 190oF. Automated heater protection is incorporated into the tank, so in case of a dry start, it will prevent any possible tank burnout.

Dispensing Mechanism

We’ve stated before that this Ready Hot RH-100-F60-BN model like its counterpart the RH-200-F560-BN, is a dual-function dispenser capable of providing both hot and cold water.

The faucet features a dual lever, one for dispensing the hot water and another for dispensing cold water which is always at normal or rather room temperature.

For the hot water lever, you have to push it down for the water to flow. When you leave the lever, the water stops flowing instantly which is an essential safety feature as we’ve mentioned several times.

The spout is tall, measuring about 8-inches high, hence you will have decent sink clearance to fit small to larger items underneath it.

Depending on your preference, you get to choose between two faucet finishes when purchasing this RH-100-F60-BN dispenser. You have a cool brushed nickel finish and a glossy chrome faucet finish. Both are stylish faucets and would look superb in modern kitchen design.

Installation

Setting up this unit is relatively easy if you ever installed a water filtration system or kitchen faucet and the manual instructions are straightforward as well.

One major issue is that some users have complained about the water having a plastic taste but overall, the unit works reliably and it’s budget-friendly in comparison to the RH-200-F560-BN. It’s also a good alternative for anyone looking for a dual-function instant hot water dispenser.
